V. 6.9 problems...

1) NB does not accept alternate download paths: files are downloaded in the default folder (and drive)
2) trying to clear "Files list" (bottom tab) causes a prompt "Delete from download list?" (???); if answer is "Yes" they actually disappear from tab "Downloading files" and become unchecked in the main headers window (where I choose the files to download)
3) every now and then the download stops or doesn't start.

Uninstalled 6.9 and reinstalled 6.82, perfectly working.

My system:
Windows 10 (all updates installed)
CPU Intel Core i7 6700 4 GHz Quadcore
32 GB RAM
Internal HD SSD 1 Tb (system)
Internal HD 1 Tb (data disk)
Ext. HD USB 3.0 2 Tb (download disk)

1 - Files in the download list already have download paths assigned so changing the download path in the options won't change their download paths. Also files that unrar/decode end up in the unrar path, if one is set.
How are you trying to change the path?

2 - You're right it's showing the wrong prompt. Thanks.

3 - Do you see any errors in the logging tab? I leave my Newsbin running for weeks at a time. Without more symptoms it's hard to guess.

1) Downloading files list > right click on selected file(s)> download to... (or assign new path). But it doesn't work to me.
2) You're welcome! (What about the rest of the behaviour?)
3) No: only if I restart NB the download starts immediately.

For #2, I had about 400 items in the files list. I paused Newsbin then added about 20 items to the download list. Then from the files list I right clicked and "Clear List". The files list cleared but nothing happened to the download list.

Do you have both the Files list and Downloading Files list visible at the same time? Like is one above and one below? I'm not seeing it trigger a clear of the downloading files from files list so, I wonder if there's something display setup specific that might cause it.


When it stops downloading, what does the "cache" line show? Down on the status bar.

About #2, sorry: my error... the problem is the following.
Downloaded files appear in tab "files list"..
Right click in the tab "Files list" and then "clear list".
The wrong prompt pops up and I choose "yes".
Files selected correctly disappear from tab "files list" but become unchecked in the main windows (headers list), so next time I can not see which files are to be downloaded and which files have already been downloaded.
Sorry for the confusion...

P.S.: now I have NB 6.82 installed.

I have the same nr 1 problem with the latest version 6.9 5524
Rightclick, change download path .. I can select another drive/folder ... but it will still show/download to the original one
