One result of changing the DPI compatibility option is that I no longer see the progress bar when downloading. I think the problem is related to using a high DPI rather than the monitor resolution although the two usually go hand in hand. Based on other programs I use that used to have a similar problem with small icons the developers made changes to their programs to make icons larger on HiDPI settings. Probably something with DPI Awareness. Have you looked into this at all?
Here's a picture I took with my camera. I'm back to my original DPI settings for NewsBin. I'm using large icons. In actuality everything shown is a little smaller than it appears in the picture.
Changing the NewsBin DPI settings at least doubles the size of the icons. But as mentioned no progress bar.
