Is there anyway to filter out all content that shows up more than say x times and the only difference in the subject name is a common string followed by number out of a total number.
ie.
file1 1 of 10
file1 2 of 10
file1 3 of 10...
....
file1 10 of 10.
file2 1/100
file2 2/100
file2 3/100...
or even just a string followed by a change in number
file3 1.avi
file3 2.avi
file3 3.avi
Thanks.

If I follow you, what you're describing isn't filtering, it's processing. In other words, you're picking out multiple entries and replacing them with a custom template. That's not what regex does on it's own, afaik.
Really, that's akin to what Newsbin already does with file sets.
