ok, tried this. After more long term testing it may now seem for some unknown reason having sabnzbd sitting in my tray, as I have it auto-start on reboot might be the issue.

Reference here (https://forums.newsbin.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=47965) as until I closed the sabnzbd tray icon newsbin exits after a brief time.

maybe hoping someone here had a similar issue. Yes I know I could stop sab from staring on reboot but hoping that's not the only way.
I am checking my startup items to see if that tells me something as well.

ADDED I am now testing sab I started it as admin to see what happens.

Make sure they're not trying to listen on the same ports. Could be they're fighting each other for the socket.

I will now try rebooting with NO startup programs and if soemom=ne else has any issue like this it would be helpful if they knew what was going on.
As I said this is a pretty clean install of Windows 10 pro I did a sfc /scannow and a disk scan as well trying to eliminate what could be happening.

Unless I know what's triggering the problem. It'll be hard to figure out. The only time I've seen a crash here is when the data folder drive ran out of space.

Are you remote feeding NZB's to Newsbin? Like with Sonarr or something like it?

No, I fixed it, it was something I had set up to auto-start on reboot of the computer.

BUT, I am back to where I have the stuff in watch list and if I mark as old it won't save.
I even watch the db file and the time stamp never updates on the db of the watch list.
I was thinking permission issues but if I force a rescan the db updates as well as the time stamp on the db file but I then still can't get the mark old to save.
I also then go and use the delete post option it asks me yes I say yes yet it still does not save and a reload of the watch list shows the file still there.

So now I am back stuck here.

Added info: I am scanning from internet on the watch lists and I only have 11 set up.
If there is any other info you need let me know. I also still have no other programs set to auto load on boot up so that's still eliminated now from this issue.

Added #2: I loaded up a very clean install on a VM of Win 10 pro with clean install of rc6 adding only one watch list and still see the same results.
Going back to 6.82 works as expected. Mark old updates time stamp of db file and all is fine.

Added #3: I knew I saw this elsewhere in the forum > https://forums.newsbin.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=47928
Not sure why some would have it and some not with me doing a clean install now on a VM running Win10 pro and still see it happening.

There is a problem with background color of partial download subject lines. I have them set to Yellow, but they are the same color as new posts. The color issue is new as it was working with the previous version.

Also, sort by status mixes them with other things.

I still see the RC5 issue I had seen with the contents of NZBs ending in -4P not being properly renamed persist in RC6. Have you had a chance to look at the sample NZB I had sent you?

Thanks!

The incomplete background was messing with the "new" state. I can look into putting it back but, I'm concerned about breaking something this late in the game. It might have to wait for the first beta after the 6.90 release.

I attempted to install this version. It recognized that I was still on 32bit Windows, but tried to install the 64bit version anyway.

There currently is no 32 bit version of 6.90. I'd hoped everyone was 64 bits already. I'll have to think about it.

Edit: I might release 6.90 as is and look into doing a 32 bit version out of band. Like a zip you can download and unzip over your current install. The 32 bit stuff is already stripped from the installer at this point and putting it back in will be a chore.

removed this version, reinstalled v."nb682-full.exe" on top of the bad-working 6.90RC6;
the downloadstream was interrupted to many times using VPN-PrivateInternetAccess
nb682-full seems to be alright

First of all, best wishes for you all.

I updated on my old laptop Newsbin Pro to this version. If i look into my server tab, i see my password instead of dots (plain text). Is this a known issue?

I already send a support ticket, but haven't received any response. So i don't know if my support ticket is received. If you received it, than i apologize.

I looked on my Windows box and it's showing dots instead of the password? Is this Windows?

Not sure what this means. I'm getting up to 1 Gbps downloads. Which is about as fast as my network can go. Newsbin doesn't know anything about VPNs. You don't really need VPN's for usenet. What you download is just between you and your news server.

We'll see when 6.90 is released. Should be soon. I'll probably put it up here first and let it sit for a couple weeks before general release.
