There's no parameter. I don't believe the cleaning of the list is the source of your issue to be honest. I don't know why you're losing your list at this point.

It's hard coded to 5000. If you move files out from under Newsbin, say move files out of the folders they were downloaded/unrared to, Newsbin will delete them from the list because Newsbin can't know where you moved them.

I'm assuming it's a bug at this point.

I tried B12 over the weekend, specifically to see how it goes with the new nzb posting type(s), mostly the ones that lie about the missing parts

It worked well, except that B12 insisted on downloading all of the par2 files, even though I had the 'pause PARS and only download the ones needed for repair' ticked in the autopar settings.

Just to check, I manually downloaded the smallest par2 and all of the rars in several NZBs and did a manual repair - no additional par2 files needed, and they extracted OK.

Can you look at not d/l all of the par2 files as part of the initial d/l and only get them if the are *really* needed to fix files, please?

The question might be whether the PAR files has PAR extensions in the NZBs. If they don't have extensions, which is relatively common these days, Newsbin won't pause them.

You can email the NZB to ts at newsbin dot com. If you want me to try it.

Done. Just sent an email with some example nzbs.

All of the included nzbs have file names that have .rar and .par2 file name extensions.

hi, I upgraded from 6.82 to this version to also have no more problem with the new posting methods. That seems to work fine, but I had (and have) "disable par repair" checked. Since I don't want newsbin to repair & unrar itself.
But now everything gets auto unrarred. (also normal posts that don't have the new posting method).

what can I do to not have newsbin unrarring itself ?

It's already fixed in the next version.

I'm not sure how well these NZB's will work without it though. Make sure you download each NZB to a unique folder because the filenames can be completely random and you don't want to mix them with other files. $(NZBFILE) in the download path should do it.

The reason why I need to not have auto unrar, is because a lot of stuff unrarred just have names that are letters. I use extractnow to monitor a folder, and it then unrars to a location and renames the file to the folder (aka nzb) name

6.90 also renames the randomized files using the NZB Filename.

Why not unrar to some other drive? You control where the final files end up. You can download to one drive and have it unrar to another. That's actually the best for performance.

But I have 1 download drive, and depending what I download .. I have 3 different drives where I unpack.

2. I can't add passwords either manually or embedded in tge nzb.
I've been having to edit the RarPasswords.txt file to get passwords to show up.

Passwords that are embedded in the NZB or in the NZB filename won't show up on the password list. They're stored with the actual download. The password list is now the "passwords of last resort". They're only checked if there's no embedded password in the NZB or NZB Filename.

The reason for the change is the password list will get slower and slower as you add entries so, being able to have per-download passwords stored in the download means there's no performance hit.

It downloads to \$(NZBFILE) but unrars in \$(GROUP)

Do you have an unrar path set? If you're using NZB Autoload (Newsbin monitoring a folder), you should add pathing to the autoload options in the NZB options section of the options.

I haven’t changed any path settings from the previous official release which work fine. I have path settings for NZB auto load and unrar folder. It’s all set up. I’ve had NewsBin for a long time and have my path settings to where I like them. They just aren’t working in the latest beta.

But in the latest beta it’s unraring to GROUP and not FILENAME

You need to try it with RC1. Which is on the forum. There's no guarantee that you won't have to tweek pathing between versions. I try to make it work the same but sometimes it makes sense to change it.

If you're using NZBs, there might not be usable filenames anymore. $(NZBFILE) uses the NZB Filename which these days is probably what you should be using if you're using NZBs. $(FILENAME) depends on finding a filename in the subject and with obscured NZB's there might not be any.
