MOTD

Postby CoolStream » Sun Jul 05, 2020 3:51 pm

I can't find the forum/archive for 2020.

I am searching for the link to the 4 July UseNetServer special. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

Same here... The MOTD popped up in newsbin a few minutes ago, but I didn't want it to open in IE, so I did what it said Help-->View MOTD Archive and that just brings me to the 2019 MOTD archive. If I try to find it by following/changing the web page name convention (ie. motd_archive_2019.php change to motd_archive_2020.php) I just get a page not found page... I'm sure it's probably too late for the "4th of July deal" by now anyway...

Thanks for finding the link and confirming that the deal is good for 7 days.

I would still appreciate a response re the fact that the MOTD Archive appears to indicate that there is no news for 2020. It's not a complaint from me, it's more of a heads up.

Thanks.

Where did you see that the deal is good for 7 days?

Also, I may be missing something, I don't see that it says this explicitly anywhere, but it appears that it is only for NEW users of UsenetServer. When you go to the link and "Start now" it looks like the only option is to "join" -- I don't see a "sign-in" option. :-(

Sorry guys, forgot to update the archive MOTD. I'll do it tonight. Also, the deal is only for "new" users to UsenetServer. I guess I need to state that.

Link to the UsenetServer Special is here.

The deal runs through the end of the day on July 11, 2020.

Thanks for the response, Dexter.

I have some good news for you playmeforafool. https://accounts.usenetserver.com/register/chooseplan?promo=oh-say-can-you-save-on-usenet&_ga=2.115408773.2095382456.1594160740-665152286.1594160740 still has the deal which is 12+5 months for $3.99.

I wrote to UNS support yesterday and said I would rather have this promotion than migrate to the higher rate that I was on and they responded today with the news that they will honour the deal for me. I guess I was lucky because my old contract was due to renew today.

I believe the deal runs from 2nd - to 9th. Good Luck!

UPDATE: Dexter's link above takes me nowhere and my link takes me to a page that says I am not eligible (presumably because I now a "paid up member"). Consider opening a ticket with UNS support stating what you hope to achieve and that you are aware of the time constraints and they should respond within 12-24 hours.
