Search counts not resetting each month

Hi,

Newbie to the forums.
I've just taken out the excellent 'Standard Search, no Auto-Renew' Search facility and my counter was going down, as it should.
I've now moved into my second month but the counter hasn't reset to 500 again, instead, it's still showing what I have remaining from the previous month.
I was under the impression the the search counts were reset at the beginning of each month (calendar month?)
Any idea if this is an issue or how I can get this resolved?

It resets in a specific time zone, so it might be midnight EST which is east coast of the US. My guess is that it'll reset within 24 hours.

I took out the search facility on 23/01/2019 and my understanding was it should have reset to 500 again on 23/02/2019.

As of today 01/03/2019 it still hasn't reset to 500 and is still showing the remainder from last month. That's 6 days.

Any help to rectify this would be most welcome.

Search counts reset for everyone on the first day of every month at 12:00 midnight EST which is GMT -4 or GMT -5 depending on daylight savings time. If you are in Europe it means the reset at 4 or 5am on the first of the month.

Ah. Thank you for the explanation. I thought it was the anniversary of taking out the search facility but I now understand it's a calendar month. That makes a lot of sense for all concerned.

So, 12:00 EST would be 06:00 CET. It's now 14:17 in Europe and it still hasn't reset yet over 8 hours after it should have done.

I'll check it again tomorrow but I'm not hopeful.

It works for everyone else so, I'm not sure why you'd think it's not working just for you.

Are you out of searches? Maybe your account lapsed. Might want to use the tech support form on the main website or from the help menu in Newsbin and send us a support request. We can look you up.

No, I have over 400 searches left and my account has not lapsed. I’ll open a case on tech support.

I'm not sure why you'd think it's not working just for you.

I didn't "think it's not working" it wasn't working. I've logged in on 2nd of March and it has indeed now reset to 500 again.

It may have appeared to lag for you because the counter is not updated within Newsbin until you actually perform a search.
