Can you browse just whole groups without searching?

You can't really browse groups with search. The closest you can get is to set the group or group of groups (topic) in the "search in groups" field then do a wild card search. Meaning blank or "*" in the search string. This will return the latest result from the groups picked. Dex and I are discussing adding a "browse groups through search" feature but it's not in there now.

If you all added browse groups through search feature would it show all headers from as far back as 3500 + days ?

Depends on how we implemented it. Probably but you wouldn't be able to get them in one go. Might have to download a bit at a time.
