Failed Files ?

Postby mpoirier » Thu Dec 27, 2018 9:37 am

Hi !

Using new version 6.81, although all downloads are complete and valid, the entries end up in Failed Files tab (File retry count exceeded)...

Anything I can test to find/fix the problem ?

Thanks...

It depends on why it's failing. If they're posted with no PAR files, they might fail because the files can't be validated. In that case you could try to manually unrar from the files window. We have a new beta in the works which solves some of these files. People are posting files with PARS but the PARS don't have a PAR extension so, 6.81 didn't see them as PARS. This might or might not be your issue.

Ok, thanks for the tip. Good to know.

But in all cases, I get all PAR files and I can verify the download with them. I can also unrar the files with no problem... (?)

Try the new beta. Dex posted it up yesterday.

Sometimes people generate pars over bad rars meaning the PAR says everything is good but the unrar fails. I used to think this was rare but it's not that rare.

Another thing, if you're using NZB files make sure to feed them directly to the download list and not load them into the post list first.
