New version of NZB file format

Postby Havic » Tue Jul 24, 2018 9:34 pm

I've been coming across more and more .NZB files that will not download properly in Newsbin. They will download properly in SABNZBD. I know it's not Newsbin's fault if some third party is taking liberties with the file structure, but I really hate jumping through the hoops of downloading through SABNZBD. Is this something that can be looked into?

What version are you using?

The newer the version, the better the results with odd NZB's. I'd be using the current beta if I was you.

If you're using the latest beta, the NZB's Sonarr sends down as stored temporarily in the NZB's folder in the data folder. You could email some of the broken ones to TS@Newsbin.com

Odd NZB's work best if you feed them directly to the download list.

save the nzb to desktop and drag into the downloading files tab and they will work...

If you have "Download double-clicked NZB files" checked in the NZB options, you can just double click them to feed the download list. NZB Autoload folders feed the download list directly too.

Sorry, once I installed the latest beta, I have not had any problems with any downloaded NZB files. I should have tried that first before posting.

Thanks for replying. If I do come across another one, if I'm not on the latest build, I will send it in.

Just grabbed another one of these screwy NZB files and saved it to one of my watch folders, and it loaded up and downloaded perfectly.

No more have to save them and manually drag them to get them to work....

Thanks

Usenet has become a moving target again so, running the latest beta is probably best for NZB Files and remote NZB like Sonarr.
