ERROR Insufficient disk space to continue

Postby beanos66 » Wed Jun 20, 2018 6:34 am

I'm using 6.81B2 download/data folder is a Drobo 5N
drobo dashboard reports 4.95 TB free space, windows reports 41.8 TB free space and NB shows 46 TB freespace in the data/download folder

but I get the above error with 0KB free in the logging window when newsbin is unraring

I can unrar manually to the incomplete folder so actual space available isn't the problem

any suggwestions?

What's the unrar path set to? I mean what's the actual unrar path? Is this over a network?

Newsbin uses a standard windows call to get drive free space. Wonder if it's not working with the drobo?

Main Download folder P:\[NBP]\
Download folder for downloads from NZB files P:\[NBP]\[incomplete]\$(NZBFILE)\
UnRAR Folder P:\[NBP]\[complete]\$(NZBFILE)\

used to work properly it's only recently started having problems

The disk free space checking is comprehensive now. It used to just wing it.

Cut and paste one of the message from the logging tab next time it happens. The error message lists the folder Newsbin is looking to use when the disk space runs out. I'm wondering if this matches the unrar path you're showing here.

[06/21 10:19:21] ERROR Insufficient Disk space to continue: 0 KB Free P:\[NBP]\[complete]\----------2016.S03E01.-----------------.1080p.NF.WEBRip.DD5.1.x264-NTb-Rakuv.E\

all rars in the queue continue to download but the extraction and post processing stops

if I right click click the file then select autopar/unrar then the extraction continues on that file then stops part way through the next file

While this is going on, look in the unrar folder and see if this folder exists. It sort of smells like Newsbin couldn't create a folder with the NZB Filename.

As an experiment, how about removing the decoration from the unrar path. The [ ] and such and but leave $(NZBFILE). I'll try your specific unrar path and see what happens. Since it works against my drobo and doesn't with yours I suspect some issue with making the actual unrar path at this point.

Are you running any utilities that delete empty folders? I have no way to make this fail and you're the only one reporting it at this point. Meaning it looks like something local. When the drive is mounted and has a drive letter, it should act no differently than any other drive right?

You could try unraring to some other drive and see what happens.

I have Remove Empty Directories but that doesn't auto scan/delete folders, it has to be manually started

the "completed" folder is what Sickbeard checks for post processing, could SB be scanning the folder and then deleting the empty directory before the extraction has finished?

but as mentioned before it is only a recent issue, and i've used this setup for many months

SB shouldn't process the download till after the unrar completes.

Is this a utility? It sure sounds like something is cleaning out the unrar folder before the unrar starts.

it is a utility
http://www.jonasjohn.de/red.htm

it does not auto run

when I first changed to NBP I had a problem with NBP deleting the nzb watch folder after SB finished post processing, I fixed this by adding a dummy.txt file.
could a similar thing be happening to the extraction folder?
