Does NewsBin save Download info somewhere

Postby JohnJCrowe » Mon Mar 12, 2018 8:52 pm

I've wondered about this for a while.
If I wanted a comprehensive list of downloads I've made, does NewsBin store that somewhere? If not by default, is it something I can enable?

Thanks!

You can turn on "File Descriptions" in the options. It doesn't track downloads in a way that can be seen easily. For example the "Downloaded" state is stored as a hash so you can't look at the hash and determine what was downloaded.

I use "File Descriptions" and in my Newsbin data folder there is a file (DownloadedFiles.txt) that lists all downloads. I just found out mine has grown too large for Notepad++ to open it. Wordpad will open it but slowly - I have to try another program to split it (not that I really need to view my past downloads).

I installed "EditPad" and split 'DownloadedFiles.txt' in two sections. All my downloads are listed (and download path used). The entries are not dated.
