Newsbin freezing on long downloads & PAR/UnRAR operations

Postby jkauff » Sat Jun 03, 2017 10:52 am

Just in the last few days, Newsbin 6.80B2 Build 4847 is completely freezing mid-way through long downloads and/or large PAR/UnRAR operations. This has never happened before, and may well be something on my system, but I have to use Task Manager to shut it down. I can restart and it properly resumes whatever it was doing, but the freeze is annoying.

Anyone else with this problem? I'm running the 64-bit version on a fully patched Win 10 Creator's Update. The only software I've added recently is PrimoCache, but that was a couple of months ago and the freezes just started.

Give the latest version a try. If that doesn't fix it, in the program file folder for Newsbin, move the par dll's to a different folder and try again.

Thanks, Quade. The new beta seems to have fixed the problem.

Ok thanks. The latest beta has the latest rebuild of the repair libraries.
