Memory hog

Postby GigaHz » Wed Jan 25, 2017 6:51 pm

Newsbin has turned into a memory hog. It is using 10g of my 16 gig trying to sort 3 days of teevee. It never did this before. Is there a setting I can change to get it to work. It works for hours trying to put up the header list. Is this from the spammers?

Teevee is getting heavily spammed right now.

Here's a discussion about how to block the spam.

Same thing was happening to me until I updated to 6.73RC2 and initiated the filter that was shown to alleviate the new spammer. Even just entering the subject filter \:: or /:: worked. Once I filtered it, Newsbin is back to being the efficient non-memory hog program.
