latest updates don't appear on top when sorted date descend.

I have my list of articles sorted by date, descending (newest on top).
When I download the latest group updates they don't appear on top of the list, where I expect them to be.
I have to click twice on the date column header to have the order as it should be.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I believe it is by design. My workflow is to look through the list of headers, download what I want, then delete them. I sort by subject. If new headers obeyed the chosen sort (in my case: subject) they would be interspersed with the headers I already looked through. Having them show at the bottom means I will organically reach them as I get to the bottom of the list.

You have a point when you are sorting by subject or other non-date related columns. Things get mixed up in that case.
But when the sorting is by date descending, you do want to have the latest additions at top because you already chose to show the newest items on top. No mixing up of contents there.

You should start a post in the "Feature Requests" sub-forum and suggest that new headers obey column sort when sorting by date.

This issue is that people who are browsing and have a long header download going, hate having the updates headers scrolling the list out from under them.

At one pointed it added new posts to the top but people complained.

Ah, I see. And now I'm complaining because I would like to see it as it did before.
Would be nice if this becomes an option in the settings.

I can think about an options. Might have to make it a hidden one though.
