Trouble downloading rar video files

I finally achieved my goal by completely shutting down Newsbin 64 and shutting down my computer.
My desire is not have to do this next time

NB64 would find the file through the search procedure but when I clicked on the file to download nothing was happening. I did manage to download one of the par2 files but it was taking an eternity to download.Maybe 30 minutes. What was really strange is I had downloaded two previous files maybe 20-25 minutes before and NB64 worked like normal.

Could both newsgroup service providers experiencing problems at the same time? Aka "The Perfect Storm". I do not think so. Though Cubenet is more reliable as having content that is listed. Astraweb not so much.

What are some things I can try next time so I do not have to shut everything down then reboot? I did try just shutting down NB64 but that did not help me.

If a reboot is required to fix your PC, it suggests there's a problem with the PC.

What version of Newsbin are you using?

What are the specs of your PC?

What errors do you see in the logging tab?

How many connections do you have configured in the server options?
