Problem with Short Filename Mode and Thumbnails

Postby webstra » Sat Mar 05, 2016 12:36 pm

I am running V6.62 and this problem is occurring. When I use Short Filename Mode and the file is renamed to include the subject, the thumbnail is not displayed for that file even though the file exists. Is a fix for this planned? Also, while we are on this subject, why is the Short Filename character length limited to 14 characters? Sometimes I would prefer that ALL files include the subject since it has more information than what is included in the filename. It would be nice to have an option for any character length.

Unlike older versions, the thumbnail view actually reads the image off disk after it's saved. So the filename is pretty critical. I'd guess the filename is changing between the time the thumbnail tries to display and when the file is saved.

I'll have to look into it. Thanks.

Just to be clear, files that have file names greater than 14 characters and consequently are not renamed, do display in the Thumbnail tab -- Thanks
