Continually Downloading headers

For some reason Newsbion Pro v6.61 has started to just continually download headers in all my groups (using Astraweb).

It seems to almost finish downloading the headers for a group, then goes back to zero and starts again.

Does anyone have any ideas what coukd be wrong and how I correct i please.

Do you see any errors in the logs? What changed with you system? Have you updated your security software recently?

I use AW and aren't having any problems downloading headers.

Are you downloading a bunch of headers?

I recently installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2016

I get the following error message when it stops downloading the headers

[17:25:17] ERROR My_Server alt.binaries.tvseries Header Download Failed: ReadFailure

It's probably related. I'll bet you could work around the problem by going into the advanced server options and disabling "XFeatures". Then restarting Newsbin. This disables compression of the header download.

Ideally though, you should tell Kaspersky to leave Newsbin's connections to the internet alone. V scanners treat usenet like email but it's not been like email for 10 years now.
