nbp disconnects and does not reconnect

I had a problem with beta 10, where it simply disconnected from the servers and then just sat there. The last error was SSL connection error (3).

selecting all the connections and pressing "Kill connection" did not help.

I couldn't find a way to restart the connections except restart NBP.

I upgraded to Beta 11 and if the issue happens again, I will update here.

It disconnects if it doesn't have anything to do. That's what you need to look for.

But it did. The downloads had items like header download.

You hadn't changed the server settings any in the mean time?

How many servers do you have configured?

Do you use priorities? If your #1 priority server drops dead for instance. It'll prevent the other servers from doing anything because they're waiting for the primary to fail parts.

I really don't know.

2 servers. One with 4 connections and header downloads, second has a lot of connections and is slave with a lower priority.

It does. I'm guessing the connections are failing. How about disabling the primary and see what happens?

I'm experiencing this problem with 6.60 beta 12. I only have one server configured and it stopped a few time in the middle of downloads and does not restart. I've trying killing all connections and leaving the download paused to maybe restart in 5 minutes or so but only a nuke of newsbin fixes the problem.

The older 6.5x nb would continue to download the next set of files while a par/unrar is happening. This beta 12 stops downloading dead cold during the par/unrar. The last time everything stopped downloading all my headers had just finished downloading but the cache was clear(0) no remaining jobs left. I have the system setting checked to limit the cpu usage during repair/unrar but now it seems to be using more than 6.5x.

How much RAM is Newsbin using when this happens?

What does it show down on the cache line?

If you "help/about" does it start working again?

Tried the help and about didn't do anything I imagine because cache was at 200/200(0). The strange thing was I could not close NB via file>exit or the close button I had to use task manager. the verbose log did show that it was not doing anything it only listed the last group it updated from the compressed gz it created during the header download.
