While it isn't officially supported, we have many users who successfully run NewsBin under Linux with a Windows emulator (Wine is the most popular). This forum exists for you Linux guys to share your experience getting NewsBin running on Linux as well as report any strangeness that we may or may not be able to fix. DThor is the resident expert.

I've seen this a couple of times. I run newsbin, download some files then exit. I leave the computer on but go off and do something else. When I return there is a dialog box that has newsbin in the title with the message "Out of Memory". It does not seem to have any lasting impact but I'm curious how does newsbin bring up a dialog box after I have exited?

I've seen a couple reports of this but it's never happened to me. It sounds like Newsbin doesn't exit and in the process consumes a bunch of RAM. I'm really not sure what's behind it yet.
