Logfile fills up hard drive.

Postby rbcress01 » Fri Feb 20, 2015 1:05 pm

I have been experiencing an issue where the newsbin logfile keeps filling up my hard drive. I have 250GB free and if I let newsbin run for a couple of weeks the logfile keeps expanding and fills the hard drive until the application dies.

I am running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and it is patched current.

I can look into doing something about it. I have an action item to close and re-open the log files from time to time. Maybe close, rename, open a new one. Then I could let the normal data folder purge kill the old log files.

If you turn off "Show Server Commands" in the network options, you'll probably greatly reduce the amount written to the log too.
