Meta Files

Version 6.60 Beta 4 Build 3770 January 30, 2015

- Now splits meta files (.nfo, .sfv) out of compacted sets before sending them to the download list.

Curious what this change is for? Before, NB would just download them automatically which was fine. FWIW, by splitting them out and showing them in the Download area, this is source of clutter for me. I now have to find the actual file I am downloading because I unrar the file to a specific directory based on what it is. Having to look through all the other files in the Download area is harder than you think. Can we go back to the way it was please? It was nice to start a download and then right click on the filename in the Download area and send the unrar to a different directory or folder, clean and quick; now it's not. :(

It was to solve a specific problem in repair and unrar.

I've gone back to the combined way now and will have to find another solution for the repair and unrar problem. Splitting the meta out broke "Ctrl-R"

When they're split out, it's much easier for the filename filters to kill them. Most people aren't wanting to keep those files.

I always thought the combined display of the Ctrl R was fine, i.e. one display of all pertinent files for an entry and scroll down through the one appended file. That worked for me and I thought very efficient for taking a look at all the possible info files within an entry. You may remember I asked you to add .SRR file to Ctrl-R because some posters were adding file info to the beginning of the .SRR file. Again, I thought keeping all of a entry's Ctrl-R info appending one after another in one scrollable file was very efficient and manageable.

I never had a problem here. I have filename .sfv in my UnRar Filters and works fine. I leave the .nfo files alone so I can look at them for a download.

Thanks
