complete posts are sent to Failed Files

I noticed this with several different posts now, not once but several times:

There is a complete post, all rar parts are complete but some par2 files are incomplete, even though most of par2 files are complete as well. And not needed anyway.
So such a post is sent to the Failed Files, I find only par2 files downloaded - in fact, all of the par2 files that are complete. Downloaded unnecessarily, by the way.
When I put it back to the download list from the Failed Files list, all the rar parts are paused until I un-pause them manually.
When the rar parts are un-paused, everything is downloaded and assembled correctly.


Off-topic:

I noticed that when I assemble incomplete files, they are no longer in capital letters, no way to distinguish from the complete files. I think incompletes in capitals were better.

I also noticed that when moving a post from Failed List back to the download list it is now placed at the top of the list instead of at the bottom as it used to be before. An improvement, I think.

Why does it say it was sent to the failed list? It's listed in the listing.

It says "File retry count exceeded"

But I think I now see the real reason: the par2 files are all corrupt, even the complete ones. When running QuickPar, Data files are not expanded.
So that is probably why NewsBin tries to download all the par2 files first: because it still needs the first correct par2 file. And when some par2 files are incomplete, the retry count is exceeded.
While all the rar parts, even though they are complete, they are paused until at least one usable par2 file is downloaded.
That would explain everything, and it is probably not a bug in NewsBin when AutoPAR is ON.

Yes, I get for each downloaded par2 file in the log also

[00:41:03] ERROR AutoPAR: PAR file is Damaged, Unable to Add Parfile .....

I now checked the par2 files - they are of different length but contain only zeros.

Let me try with AutoPAR OFF.

Everything is ok, rar parts were downloaded, when AutoPar is OFF.

So sorry for the false alarm

BTW, when the AutoPar is ON, and I force un-pause manually, the multi-part rar is not only downloaded, but also extracted and deleted, also those corrupt par2 files are deleted, perhaps something like that could be attempted automatically before sending the whole post to the Failed list.

With no pars, it just fails like with any other file that doesn't have PARS.
