Version 6.53: Wont download or exit after deleting posts

Newsbin gets into a state where it will not enqueue any downloads nor will it exit for a period of a few minutes.

I use a filter, [0-9]+\.jpg\s[0-9]+, to select spam posts. I then Control-A to select then Shift-Del to delete these posts. Newsbin then will neither download anything nor exit for a few minutes. I see the process taking ~12% CPU time but no disk or network activity. Its spinning in a thread @ NewsbinPro64.exe+0x510a84.

You asked it to do something and it's doing it. I could probably throw up a progress bar I guess.

Versions prior to the latest Beta did not exhibit this problem. Is this a side-effect of some new feature that was added recently? What exactly is it doing? After the delete, when I nuke the filter, everything looks ok. There is no busy cursor and the UI remains completely responsive apart from not starting any downloads or exiting when requested.

First it has to collect all the marked posts, then it sends them off to the deletor thread. It's possible that before, it simply gave up on deleting and exited before it was done.
