Version 6.53 Release Candidate 2

Postby dexter » Mon Aug 04, 2014 11:06 am

More fixes:

  • Now will try harder to download PAR2 files if there are errors downloading the smaller PAR2 files.
  • Fixed issue when unraring into a folder that already has the same filenames.
  • Change so when AutoPAR is disabled, Newsbin will blindly download all files in the set, rars and pars. This addresses an issue where pars were downloading but not getting saved when AutoPAR was disabled.

More information and the download link is on the Newsbin Beta Page.

Automatic extraction of files obtained via par-less .nzb still does not work.

Examples sent via PM.

It's pretty much already been explained. If you have a mix of rars and meta files. SFV/NFO in with the rars, it won't unrar. It's a leftover from before these files were included.

I already have a fix for an internal version.

Another interesting thing that came out of this is that these files DO have pars for the most part but, the NZB site used for the NZB's doesn't show them for some reason. Newsbin search shows the files complete with PARS.

Correct. It is the .nzb files obtained from an indexing site that do not contain pars. That's what I mean exactly when I refer to them as being par-less. Where I was obtaining them was disclosed last week in a PM on this matter including examples.

Also interesting is that more than one NZB site is generating par-less collections like this now. I guess it saves a few bytes here and there which must add-up over time. Could be the latest FOTM.

I was figuring they're only including pars for their premium members or something. That NZB you sent to Dex, the filenames are mixed case so, it might be a bug in their code too.
