Just curious when the logins weren't required for the beta forum.

Was wondering why my unread posts were no longer showing up with the red highlight (icon) so I could check unread posts. I do learn a lot from the replies, and some have even assisted me or taught me more about the new features.

Well I have to clean out my browser occasionally to read my local paper online, (10 articles per month or pay) so its a good time to flush out all the clutter. They use a counter in the cookies. Of course not thinking about it, when I came back to this forum, it just let me in without logging on. Always required it previously on cleanups.

Of course as soon as I logged in, the red highlight was back on the icons and I was back to being able to go directly to unread posts in each article.

Because we have a long trial period now, 15 days if you sign up for a trial key, I thought it was a good idea to let the trial people see the beta forum. The forum looks pretty barren without it. It's where much of the activity is too.

If you use Firefox there is an Add-on that will let you remove cookies for the site you are viewing. When you finish reading just right-click the page and select "Remove Cookies for Site"

Thanks Bzee, I will give that a try. I just started using firefox along with IE but I was only using it for some of the warez sites that do have a lot of popups. I am using admuncher and it wont run under IE.

Just not that familiar with firefox yet.

Thanks Quade, will have to start using a different approach.
