Locked out posters

While I have been using Newsbin for many years I am not really that 'au fait' with it. I have created a massive list of posters who I have locked out because they are requesting passwords which I refuse to indulge in. So much so that I rarely get any headers downloading in my chosen group. It would seem that every poster is now asking for passwords. Is this going to be the way forward? If it is, is it worthwhile continuing to search? Or is there something that I am not aware of where I can bypass these apparent scams?

It depends on the posting group. There's nothing I want that I can't find unpassworded. You might just have to look around in other groups. You could try using Internet search and see what groups files are posted to.

Posters with p/w are scammers and not worth trying to get any p/w for their posts,i find what i need for posts,there's more unprotected rars then there are protected i find,depends on the group,boneless is the worst.
