Hide Old not hiiding files in Search tab

I upgraded to 6.51 Build 3162 a few days ago from whatever the last beta was. I spend most of my time in the search tab and everything I normally do has worked (and worked faster, thank you!) with one exception. Hide Old is not hiding the files any longer, at least in the Search tab. I haven't tested it in the groups tab. When I search, the new files and the old files appear. I can hit delete and files will disappear but only until I do the same search and then I get all results (deleted or not).

I see what's happening. If you re-apply "Hide Old" after the search, it's hides them but, it doesn't hide them in the initial search.

I'll write myself a note to look into it. Thanks.

When reapplying Hide Old it does not always hide records. Sometimes, especially with a long list of files, hidden files show up further down the list in whatever sort order has been selected.

In some cases, if the hidden files do not disappear after hitting Hide Old the first time then hitting it twice will cause the non-hidden files to group at the top of the list and the files that should be hidden would display after. I'm seeing 3 different behaviors during searches with Hide Old set on.

1. Returned records will show a mix of hidden and non-hidden files.
2. Selecting Hide Old again, after the records have been returned from the search, will cause the hidden files to disappear and the Search count to be reduced.
3. Selecting Hide Old again, after the records have been returned from the search, will cause the records to refresh on screen but hidden files will still show up in the list but in a different location. Selecting Hide Old a second time may cause the non-hidden files to group at the top of the list with the hidden files showing afterwards (but still displayed).

I can recreate the behavior while I'm working in the program but I can't always predict exactly what it is going to do. The prior version filtered on Hide Old before records were displayed. This latest version seems to be ignoring it until it is refreshed.

I always assumed there is a limit on how many Search records are returned in the Search tab with the upper number being somewhere around 2000 records. Are hidden files included in that record count even when "Hide Old" is turned on? If so, would that mean that the more hidden records there are in a given time period the fewer actual records could be retrieved?

When you use search set for internet mode, the search server has no idea what's old or new. That's local to your PC so, theoretically you could mark 2000 results old, do a search a moment later and nothing would show up in the list because they're all hidden and nothing new had been added to the server in the mean time.

When you mark something old in the search tab, Newsbin actually stores a record of what you marked old. Then when the post shows up again, it gets tagged old if was tagged old before.

Just noted that Hide Old is still not working as expected in 6.52B1 Build 3183.
