Create Folders, like the name of the PAR-File

Postby nypon » Thu Feb 13, 2014 5:36 pm

Hello,

I'm so far very satisfied with Newsbin! Image link not allowed for unregistered users ... But I got one "problem"...

Example:

1 NZB with 25 MP3 Albums (not packed, single MP3 files). Each Album has it's own PAR-Set. The PAR-Files are named like the Album (Album1,Album2,...). Now the perfect thing would be, to create folders like the name of the PAR-File and move the files, which were checked (without errors) to the appropriate folder.

So far I could not find a solution. It would be great if someone could open my eyes... Image link not allowed for unregistered users

Best Regards

Im downloading via NZB and browsing the groups.

The thing is I'm a user who switched from Newsleecher. There it creates and moves the files to the appropriate folders after PAR checking/repairing, no matter how many albums you got in the NZB or in the Queue. Now people would say: "...Then go back to NL...". But I don't want to go back to NL, because I'm very satisfied with Newbin! Image link not allowed for unregistered users

In the download path click "Change" then double-click $(NZBFILE). This will add the NZB filename to the path of the NZB downloads.

When you're done the path should be

X:\Path\$(NZBFILE)\

If that doesn't cut it. Let me know. The pathing stuff lets me add other things to it.

This will only apply to files you added after change.

Thanks for your patience!

Perhaps I did it wrong, here is the screenshot what I changed....

I made the Test with the following NZB (2 small Album)...

...Here you see the results of Newsbin...

...And here, what Newsleecher does..

You have to put you key in the forum control panel to post images. Don't post images that show real files though.

The issue is that you have two sets in the same NZB. It would work if it was two NZB's each with a different name.

I'll think about it. Par filename's not a bad idea but, I have to think about how I'd hook that up. It's not going to make 6.51 which is just about to be released.

Dex and I talked about it and I think it'll be in the first 6.6 beta (unless I forget and need reminding). I'm still a little fuzzy about how though. Currently the path is "rendered" when the file is added to download. To make this work, I'd need to render it, at the point the file is actually assembled. That shouldn't be too much issue but, it means I'll have to carry some info forward that I don't currently carry including the NZB Filename so, NZB pathing still works.
