Version 6.51 Beta 5 Available...

Version 6.51 Beta 5 has some more fixes and additional capabilities:

• Fixed hang caused when the download list auto-saves while new files are getting added to the list
• Fixed issue with a large number of deletes sometimes failing
• Fixed issue deleting passwords from the unrar password list
• Added new file signature to the unrar password checker
• You can now add custom file size choices in the size filter dropdown list. You do this by adding them under the [Sizes] section in your .nbi file. For example:

I'm not exactly sure when this behavior changed, but I need some help understanding the filters. I'm trying to filter out anything less than 1gb, however, setting min size to 1gb doesn't give me the results I would expect. Could this be a result of a corrupt configuration file or something?

What kind of files get through? By default it lets PARS and NFO (and other small files) files through the filter. There's an option in the settings to disable this bypass.

Which filters are you using? The ones in the display or a filter profile? Keep in mind the global filter always applies.

This was exactly the issue. Somehow I must have re-enabled this. Thanks for the help!

Two things:
1. I am using Newsbin 6.50. I remember a forum message here that being able to filter on Message ID is implemented but I can't get it to work. Is this fixed in the update or am I not using it correctly?

What I'm doing is, under "Filter Profiles", I add "news[.]newsville[.]com" under "Message ID Filter" on the "Subject Reject" tab. In the message list, I select "Message ID Filter" dropdown and click "Enable or Disable the Filter", but messages containing this text in the Message ID header field still appear in the listing. Clicking it twice shows the number in parenthesis doesn't change.

2. I have a problem with headers refreshing. Occasionally I see incompletes for multiple part files. My Server is set to 300 on "Header Overlap". The incomplete headers may occur further back than the last 300. So, I switch that setting temporarily to something like 10000 and right click "Download latest Headers". There is a flash of something that comes up under "Downloading Files" but comes back immediately. It doesn't seem to be really downloading the last 10000 messages. The headers are still incomplete. Right clicking "Download All Headers" does fix this though.

Did you create a filter profile named "Message ID Filter" or "MessageIdFilter" with no spaces. It makes a difference.

For #2, if there are no new headers available, I'm not sure it uses the header overlap. Quade will have to chime in on that one.

A few posts are downloading as incomplete. The initial add to DL list was NZB. I added the RAR itself w/by-pass filters and it seems to being DLing OK.

I do a lot of deleting of posts - so maybe the DB needs to be compacted to re-index?

It's not a big deal, I just would like to know your "diagnosis" so I can better understand what to do.
