V6.50 B 3126 Wont assemble incompletes?

Postby mathesar » Sun Dec 22, 2013 4:45 pm

I downloaded <some midget porn> and after it finished I'm left with a directory of rars & pars but they all have the .NB2 file extension, All of the files are still being displayed in Newsbin as "Downloaded", Normally if I right click and choose Assemble Incompletes it would clear the list and get rid of the .nb2 extension but lately it seems to get stuck and ignore the request?

Thanks.

6.50 doesn't assemble like 6.42.

This doesn't sound like an assembly problem because Newsbin doesn't generate the NB2 until it tries to assemble. Meaning there are no NB2's for incompletes any more. This sounds like a rename problem. That the files couldn't be renamed to their real filenames. This means if you see NB2's. there's nothing to assemble because the files were already assembled resulting in the NB2 and the rename couldn't rename.

I'd check your security software, it sounds like something is blocking the rename.
