Files not being deleted

6.50 B1 2550.
(appdata) Chunks and Temp folder do not seem to be clearing out, even with nothing in Downloading Files, Failed Files & File list.
Chunks has thousands of files, Temp only has a few.

These are leftover chunks from a download process that didn't end correctly, for example you might have decided to terminate it if you changed your mind about wanting it. They stay there for a period of time (I don't recall exactly how long - a week?), but they get automatically pruned by newsbin after that time. This is really no different than before where you might have had errant chunks either stranded in the download folder or left in memory (and thus lost after quitting newsbin), except now it's out of your face. It will enable you to pick up downloads where you left off later without cluttering up your download folder. If you end up not wanting it, it will be pruned automatically. It's intended to be out of sight, out of mind.

If you're the micro manage type, you can safely delete them, but I'd wait for newsbin to be shut down or have an empty download queue first.

Ah ok thanks. I haven't noticed them before and thought it might be a beta bug. As they get cleaned up automatically, I'll report back in they haven't in 10+ days!

The cleanup part is still being tuned. 6.42 didn't use a chunks folder like this so, it's a behavior change.

6.50 has been released. Are you reporting some issue? Temporary files do get cleared out eventually.

No issue so far. Am using 6.5 and would like to know what eventually is? A day? A week? Some other timeframe?

I'm actually not sure. I asked Quade and he forgot to tell me. I believe it's a matter of hours, certainly less than a day.
