a couple 6.50 RC4 questions

I just downloaded and upgraded my install from version 6.42 to 6.5RC4. Ive noticed a couple of things that have changed that I cant seem to find anything mentioned in the forums so far, so I may as well ask them here.


1. In the previous version if I did a search, the files that I had already downloaded were shown with a different icon in the leftmost corner. The upgrade seems to have deleted whatever tracked this from before. Is there a way to get this back, or at least to enable this going forward?

2. What happened to fill server functionality? The online help has not yet been upadated to reflect this change or how to set this functionality the new way as far as I can tell.

That is because server priority has been implemented. You can now have up to 10 priority levels whereby all servers at one level are used before moving on to the next level. This provides more functionality than the previous 2 level system allowed by Fill servers.

The old records are lost, the new records will build up as you download so, I believe what you're asking for is mostly already there.

Thanks for the quick updates. One follow up question: I have an primary server that I want to have all of the downloads go through, as it is unlimited downloads. I also have a slave server that I want to be able to use for fills only, as this is just a block account. After the upgrade the downloads started going through the slave server and it took me a couple of days to realize this. How do prevent this from happening again? For now I have disabled the slave server.

The concept of Slave Server only determines whether headers are downloaded - not files.

Perhaps you are thinking of the old setting for Fill server which has been replaced by the priority setting. To achieve what you want for files you now need to set the servers at different priority levels. All servers at one level are tried before the next level so you can control which servers should be used preferentially for files.
