"Socket Connect Failed" error window pops up everytime.

Postby mathesar » Fri Nov 08, 2013 5:40 pm

Whenever I start an NZB the critical error window pops up and shows this: "Error: Socket Connect Failed, Host: ssl-eu.astraweb.com Error Code: 0 The operation completed successfully."

I'm not sure how to interpret this or fix it? The download continues without issues I just always have to close the popup window, running version 6.50B18 build 3071

Thanks.

The error has changed in the latest 6.50 release, RC3. You can download it from the beta page.

Astraweb does occasionally throw errors on their SSL server, Newsbin just retries and keeps on going.

Lately I've been getting a bunch of SSL errors from AW. Not sure why. I get zero from Giganews so, I think it's something with the server. As Dex noted, Newsbin keeps trying till it gets in.

For now I disabled the critical error popup in newsbin settings, Good enough lol.

Thanks for the replies.
