There seems to be an epidemic of password-ed RAR posts. And all too often, there's no clue about that until it's too late when Newsbin discovers that they can't be un-RARed. So is there any way to either 1) indicate with a really obvious flag (like turning the whole subject line red or something) that the file is passworded, or 2) maybe testing the first RAR segment immediately when it's downloaded to see if it has a password, and if so, halting the download process or skipping to the next in the list. I guess implementing #2 would also mean that there would have to be a new option to say "Okay to download passworded RARs" or "Skip password detection" or something.
Interestingly, Binsearch detects passwords sometimes and flags those posts with a red warning. Of course, I don't know how they go about that, but it's certainly useful. Unfortunately, they miss some too, as I learned the hard way on more than one occasion. That's why testing the first downloaded RAR segment seems like it ought to be bulletproof.
