Currently I'm plagued by the situation described in the 3 cases above. Many a times, more than tolerable in my eyes, I have often to investigate which NZB files have resulted in failed/untreated sets and I have to repair them through par2ing and unraring by myself.

On closer inspection it appears to me that in the majority of the cases it's the (in the .NZB but not in the .PAR2s) missing .NFO file that makes NBP to leave the RARs and PAR2s untouched. All RARs and PAR2s are present, normally all healthy. If any of the downloaded files are broken, it has enough PAR2s to repair the set.

I would be pleased to hear ideas how to solve these issues.

Thanks

PM me an actual example and I'll try it. Don't post it here.

I have a new repair dll for B15. Dex and I are considering putting it into B14 and seeing if it improves the problem reports.

On starting up newsbin again I saw this in the logging tab.

[07:07:38] HIGH PAR Pausing: Enabled
[07:07:38] HIGH Unknown PAR Repair Dll version, probably a version conflict

Maybe an incorrect version in the installer?

What OS? If you are running XP you might need to install the Microsoft Redistributable.

Can't hurt to install the redistributables and it might help. That's would be my first attempt to fix.

Didn't make a difference installing the redistributables.

I might re-install and force "Single Core" mode and see what happens.

multi-core repair requires the PAR dll and tbb.dll. It's got to be the correct TBB dll too, either 32 or 64 bits. Might be worth manually deleting the PAR dll and TBB.dll then re-installing.
