NZB load now begins with red bars

Postby chroma601 » Mon Sep 02, 2013 5:38 pm

Since upgrading to 6.42 from 6.41, loading an NZB now shows the beginning lines of each file as completely red. I'm used to that meaning server error, but the download continues and the red bars are replaced with advancing blue. Worth noting that this happens only on some older posts, but they still download. Is this something new or is something amiss? Thanks...

I'd look at the logging tab. My guess is you'll log errors for the red boxes.

It's not red boxes. The entire line starts off red, then you can see the parts loading left to right as the line turns blue. No errors, in that the downloads have been successful. Just unusual that the progress bars start off red instead of clear/white.

Do you have multiple servers configured? Could be one server is failing and the other is picking up for it. Click on the Logging tab to see what error messages are there when the progress bar turns red.

That's probably it. The red start only happens on older downloads, and I have multiple servers with one of them being the free xsusenet with only 10 days of retention (used for fills). I hadn't attempted to download older files since I put that in. I have the "Use Typical Retention" box checked, with the value of 10. Meanwhile my main server Astraweb was pulling them in just fine. All is explained, and thanks!
