Upgraded to v6, now filters not working

Postby enchant » Wed Aug 14, 2013 10:24 am

I upgraded from v5 to v6 and copied all of my settings over. Things are mostly ok, except that filters aren't working. Sickbeard gets the nzb file for me and Newsbin automatically picks it up and downloads everything. But it downloads EVERYTHING. My download folder is full of sample files, .srs, .nfo, .sfv, etc. Here are my filter reject settings. Hopefully, someone can tell me where I'm going wrong.

1 - You really want to use subject reject for most things.

2 - In the NZB Options, I'd try assigning this filter to the "NZB Loading filter". Things work better if you filter before you download so, filtering the NZB Before its files are added to the download list is the most efficient way for this to work. I'd suggest adding these text filters to the subject reject too.

3 - I'll verify the filename filters. Haven't used them recently.

4 - If the SFV's and such are being created during repair then you'd have to use the "post unrar filter" to delete them. Basically Newsbin by default assumes the contents of a PAR set are untouchable. Look in the autopar options.

I've done #2 (no, not that #2), and if I'm still having problems, I'll try #1. Have to wait for the overnight shows to be uploaded. Thanks for the help!

I'm not seeing any unwanted files today, so it appears that did the trick. Thanks again!
