anyone know what the problems would be if a header database file got to be over 12 gb or larger?
using 6.5, 3770k, win7 with 32 gb ram. Storage drive is a 7200 WD black.

Hmm, it slows down?
I've got some 20 gig storagedata.db3 files but, no storage.db3's over 4 gigs.
What do you think you're seeing?

not really seeing anything yet. I have one group at 9.5 GB storagedata.db3 and 1.8 gb storage.db3. I just wanted to know possible limits before I download more headers. I do not want to purge and would rather keep all the headers for now...

There are performance issues. The bigger the file, the slower it'll probably be but, there really aren't any hard upper limits on size.
