Reset odometer

Postby pasound » Sun Jun 16, 2013 12:03 pm

Hi. New to the forum. I'm using Newsbin pro 64 (currently 6.42 build 2148) on W7 Ult-x64. My subscription was with Astra for about a year, until things started to belly-up with their retention and take-downs. Now on Newshosting. I have a basic 50Gb-per-month sub with no roll-over, and used to be able to reset the odometer monthly so I could make sure I'm not running out of bandwidth. Sometime after my last reset (Options-Clear Odometer), that function quit working. I tried upgrading from my previous 6.31, several reboots, reset configuration. No change. Did I bonk something and not know it?

Any ideas? Thanks in advance - great newsreader!

I'll check it in 6.50. There are also "per server" odometers listed in the server options.

Thanks.

Saw the bit count reset in the provider server options. Reset it - no change on the lower toolbar. This started before I upgraded the app - it worked about five weeks ago in the earlier install, then it didn't, so I upgraded, and the odometer still won't clear to zero. Thanks for your help here. Odd bug?

Won't know till I look at it. The server specific counter are unconnected to the one in the status bar.

Ok - maybe a new clue? I checked on my W8 x64 desktop rig, don't use it much, but have my Newsbin installed on it, too. Same problem, counter will not reset, but different, larger values - shows the total data from a couple of months ago (last time I used it on this rig). Interesting that the situation exists across two different os's without any contact other than shared storage for the downloads I get with the nzb's...

Again, thanks!

Oddly, I was able to reset mine with no issue. It did change in 6.50 though. I switched to a single 64 bit counter instead of 2 32 bit ones so, that's where I intend to look.

Grabbing a file right now on the W8 desktop, tried the reset (in case it needed to be active) and no change. Both versions are the last 6.42, 64-bit. Should I try the 6.50 beta instead? Just wondering.
