Dex reported that in the beta announcement.

We think it's a false positive. It doesn't actually say it's a virus it says that it thinks it's got virus like characteristics.

He tests against something like 20 virus scanners before he puts it up. Eset and Clam were the only 2 to complain and even then they weren't specific.

I got no message about a virus but get zero connections. Search works ok but all 35 connections are disconnected. Never seen this before. Usually when it starts I think some of the connections are 'established'.

Only thing in the log is this...

[22:01:54] HIGH Aggressive Assembly mode: Enabled
[22:01:54] HIGH PAR Pausing: Enabled
[22:01:54] HIGH Par2Repair - Multi-core 1.4

[update 22:46] went back to B8 all is well.

Oh, and I should have elaborated a bit, could not download headers or articles, just would get a timeout. Search is the only thing that worked. Everything working again in B8.

It's not paused and you have something in the download list?

I can honestly say I've downloaded more with B9 than any other version I've put up.

I'll give it a try again tomorrow. Already miss the new icons that appeared in the right click list in this build :-)

Never got around to re-trying b9. Just installed b10. Headers download OK but no articles and no messages other than re-try failed. Re-installed b8, articles working again. Weird.

I have two servers, one = no header download. Maybe recent changes with server settings is affecting me? Have not changed the setup for over a year.

Both servers using the same address and credentials, just like to keep header and article data separate. Don't know that the new priority is of any interest to me but when b10 was running I noticed they were both at 10.

Figured it out. To make it work, just submit another post saying it's not working - scratch head - install b10 over b8 'again'. Works now!

Actually, I installed b10 again so I could tinker with the new server settings. But, since it started working, I ain't touching it!

Like the icon refresh!

Apparently it's not happy if you only have one server configured. I haven't looked into it yet.

I have TWO servers though. Not sure what you're implying by only having ONE configured. They are both configured. One is marked to not download headers, so the other one does that. I've now set the one marked to never download headers with the highest priority just in case it makes any difference. Shouldn't in my case though.

Unless by ONE you equated different servers to being different only when each literally uses a different service?

In any event, it's still working OK this morning. Don't sweat it if you have no other reports.

I had the same problem, today, when I installed B10. No connections. All disconnected. Created second server and all is well, again. Even with the second "server" disabled, it works just fine, now. In fact, it confused me for a bit. I had two servers installed when I installed B10. However, I recently switched providers and decided that it was time to delete the entry for the old provider. Everything stopped working after I deleted the second one. Don't remember if I stopped and restarted NB after the delete, so I can't say if that had anything to do with it. Just happy that it's all working again.
