manjaro + newsbin = awesome

While it isn't officially supported, we have many users who successfully run NewsBin under Linux with a Windows emulator (Wine is the most popular). This forum exists for you Linux guys to share your experience getting NewsBin running on Linux as well as report any strangeness that we may or may not be able to fix. DThor is the resident expert.

havent been around here for a while. i haven't used newsbin either for a while either living in linux land :D but started to the miss the program i started out with when i 1st started using newsgroups back in 2002 :shock: wow! its been a long time. :mrgreen:

anyway im using manjaro 64 and everything is smooth. this is probably the best its ever been on linux that i have used. i was actually able to install the 64bit installer which i was never able to before. i havent noticed any problems yet. its been stable.

nice to be back on newsbin :D

Haha nice. I actually have Newsbin running under android these days. That sort of Linux....Linuxy.

wow! you guys running it on android now? :shock: i can't wait to try that out. android is very linuxy :lol:

It's just a prototype so far. It repairs and unrars though.
