slow headers download

Postby hher3112 » Mon Apr 22, 2013 9:11 pm

I am having a problem downloading headers.. I can't download any faster than 280kps; but if I download RAR's I am able to reach 20mbs. I have checked all options and I can't find a reason for this problem.

any help will be appreciated.. thanks

That's not a server I can test on. I get about 100 Mbps/connection to astraweb over a 50 Mbps connection.

What version are you using? Might be worth giving 6.42 a try.

How about signing up with Astraweb for a month and see what kinds of header speeds you get? If it's fast then the problem isn't your PC or the software. If it's still slow then it might be your PC or Newsbin. Is the data folder on a standard internal drive?
