6.50 Beta 1 Cache seems to be increasing

Normally I open the combined groups tab for the tv groups and search for teevee, and the cache amount is usually 40 or less. Now with the new beta, with each header download it seems to keep increasing that count and the results don't appear. Hard disk seems constantly engaged.

By cache amount, do you mean the number in brackets? If that's it, and it's taking an inordinately long time to count down, that typically means a crapload of headers, often singular, spammy ones, have shown up in the group. You should indeed let it settle down first if at all possible. If it's crazy, like you've left it overnight and you've never seen this before, something might be wrong, yeah.

It seems to have settled down now. Not sure if there was a change done specifically to the header section of the software, but it was going crazy on the hard drive even after closing the program down.

Pretty sure the injection process hasn't been changed, while testing I didn't notice any increase there. I'm more inclined to think a 'bad header day' for that group, I. E. Lots of singular spammy posts. Still, worth noting.

One area that's been screamingly faster for me with this release is downloading single or double chunk images. Previously adding several hundred of these would get backed up quickly, now it's *blip*.

I believe there's a one time index change the first time you touch the groups. That's probably what you're seeing.
