completely stopped

hi...using version 6.4 ,windows xp... all has been working very nicely but suddenly everything has come to a screaming halt and the half dozen or so files i have ready to go are doing nothing....all my connections are disconnected, i have closed and opened the program a number of times as well as restarted the pc but still dead as a door nail....any suggestions anyone...all my files are valid and i have paid my bills...

Typically this means you need to update your billing information with your news server. Classic symptoms.

Insufficient information to be able to say much of anything. Look in the logging tab when this happens. My guess is it will be something along the lines of 'invalid login' or 'server not found'. Quade is right, though, assuming you've changed nothing else(which you haven't verified), something has changed externally to you, so it's either the server shutting you out or something getting between you and the server.
