ive started seeing this when i load NB, im also getting persistent motd again.

btw am i going to reset any counters(data dl'ed etc) if i install and choose reset gfx interface?

I thought that standard MS message had a 'proceed/cancel' set of options? You would just proceed, to update it, and it should go away. If not, yeah, that's odd. It's simply IE complaining about the certificate for the site - I've never seen it.

I think total download is stored in the registry but am fairly certain wiping the gui doesn't affect it. Since it's just a registry entry, you can always dig it up and note it, you could just re-enter it in the worse case scenario.
