Virtually everything I try to download gets "spam" error

Postby CowboybobS » Sun Jan 27, 2013 4:16 am

Hey Ya'll..
hopefully someone can help me here,
Lately, I'd say at least the last 6 months or so, virtually anything I try to download from the a.b.warez group, a.b.CD.image.0-day, and those types of groups, I Almost always get the error "Spam: RAR contains EXE payload"
Now I have no issues dling movies or audio files, or audio books from the movie / audio groups... It seems like newsbin is now automatically kicking back any Rars that have .exe files in them, which is going to be any sort of program etc.... I guess just assuming it's a virus or something... It didnt used to do this. What's changed and is this the way it's supposed to work? I don't think that EVERY post has a virus... if so, why bother with all this?
Any help in understanding this would be most appreciated!
TIA

It has been found that something like 90% of such files are either spam or contain a virus/Trojan!

You can try and force a download using the bypass filters option, or adjust what should be treated as spam under Options->Spam Filter settings.
