Red Exclamation

Postby Maskawisewin » Wed Jan 09, 2013 3:12 am

I'm getting a red exclamation icon in my download list after a file or header has successfully downloaded. I'm not sure what is causing it.

Please advise. Thanks.

Hmm, are you running a non-English language pack(doesn't seem it)? Anything out of the ordinary, like running in wine on Linux? It's certainly not normal, and suggests a redraw problem tied to something your end. Graphics drivers need updating, perhaps?

Running US English, Windows 7 64 bit completely patched, it's not a redraw problem because you can select the lines. I have a AMD HD 7970 - 3 GB card that is updated to the latest drivers. It just recently started happening and it's intermittent.

Yeah, that eliminates lots of possibilities, but I'm not sure offhand of a next suggestion - only time I've seen something like that is a graphics issue of some sort or the language pack. I'm quite certain it is a redraw issue - being able to select the line doesn't preclude that. Newsbin wants to clear out that column but it's not happening. I'm assuming what you posted is exactly what you see, no entry anywhere else on the line(and you haven't painted it out due to forum rules about posting content). Highly unlikely it would help but a newsbin reinstall over top of the existing wouldn't hurt if you haven't tried it already. Maybe someone else has some suggestions. My money is on a graphics card/driver bug.
