Big Binary

Postby HONESTLEFTY » Fri Jan 04, 2013 12:50 am

I downloaded a 9 gb file that contains a <some shit>. At the end a message says that A par file is bad. I ran Quickpar and it came up 2 blocks short. Is there any way I can salvage the file? I really don't understand Pars, blocks et cetera.

You could fix it by finding and downloading more PARS or finding out that files are damaged and maybe get another server to re-download the damaged files.

Files are chopped up into blocks. For each missing block in the files, you need one PAR repair block to fix it. That's about all you need to know about pars. 1:1. 1 PAR block for each missing block.
