Dual Boot - Common Data Path

Postby gumpboy » Fri Dec 28, 2012 6:40 pm

I have Newsbin installed on my dual boot machine in the XP os. Can I install in on my Windows 7 OS and make it so that I don't have do download all the headers for the groups I have saved?
I can see in the nbi file that my data path points to my D: drive which luckily is the same under both OS's, but the download path drive doesn't keep the same drive assignment. I don't really have a problem with the downloads on two drives, I am just wondering if I will have any issues if I update the headers from one OS and then later accessing or updating them again from a different OS. (both OS's are 64bit)

You can do this.

You have to either make sure the pathing makes sense in both places or use two different NBI files, each with an OS Specific path setup.
